And will be playable at PSX 2015!!

King of fighters XIV

It looks like the PlayStation 4 will be getting yet another exclusive. SNK Playmore recently announced that King of Fighters XIV will be available only on the PS4. Along with this announcement, the studio also stated that the game will be playable for the first time ever at this year’s PlayStation Experience. PlayStation Experience 2015 takes place in San Francisco, California at the Moscone Centre on December 5th-6th.

In the latest installment into the series, we can expect to see characters that have been in past games, and use these characters to form a team of three fighters to battle it out with. We’ll be seeing many familiar faces from past games such as Art of Fighting, Ikari Warriors, and Fatal Fury. The latest trailer for the game shows us that Andy Bogard (brother to Fatal fury’s Terry Bogard) will be a playable character. Other characters that have been revealed include Leona Heidern, Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, and Chang Koehan.

During this announcement, SNK Playmore never really said whether King of Fighters XIV will be a permanent console exclusive, or just timed. There also was absolutely no mention as to whether the game would make its way onto PC, as others in the series have via Steam. All we know for sure is that we can expect this game to release sometime next year in 2016.

If you get to play King of Fighters XIV at PlayStation Experience, be sure to comment on this post and let us know what your first impressions are!
