Google may have launched its best Star Wars Easter egg yet, and all it takes to activate is searching one famous little quote.
Simply head over to Google.com now and search “A long time ago in a galaxy far far away” to see the surprise that awaits you. By entering the text into the search bar and clicking to let Google to its magic, your search results will come to you in a rather famous format.
Yes, it’s exactly what you’re thinking, the search results will be taken over by the iconic scrolling text that details the galaxy’s goings on at the start of every film. It even has the classic John Williams famous score to boot.
This promotion comes off the back of a whole host of other Easter eggs that Google has launched recently, following its partnership with Disney to promote The Force Awakens. For example, you can now align with the Light or Dark side, which will add a variety of Jedi or Sith- powered enhancements to your Google experience.
If you head over to YouTube, the progress bars turn into lightsabers, TIE Fighters and Millennium Falcons now popular Google Maps, and if you’ve ever wanted to know how to say “One cup of coffee to go” in an Alien language, Google Maps has your back. Oh and to round off Google’s great little Easter eggs, Gmail now has some pretty cool Star Wars-themed backgrounds.
