NOVEMBER VR RELEASES – WEEKS ONE & TWO (NOV. 1-14)

Recommended Videos

The VR genre is getting bigger, as Sony’s PSVR system was finally made available to the public on Oct. 13 to compete with the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift platforms. For those who have picked up one of the headsets, you’ll be pleased to know that the first two weeks of November 2016 have a bunch of VR titles worth trying.

Remember that Eagle game Ubisoft showed off on stage at E3? Well now you and your friends can try it out yourselves with its multiplayer gameplay that allows you to race as eagles over the skies of Paris. Eagle Flight was first available on the Oculus Rift on Oct. 18, is coming to PSVR on Nov. 8, and finally to HTC Vive on Dec. 20.

Also out at the beginning of this month is Crytek’s Robinson: The Journey. A first-person adventure following a young boy named Robin as he traverses a dino-filled planet called Tyson III. He’s also accompanied by a circular robotic companion that is extremely reminiscent of Portal 2’s Wheatley.

Check out all of November 2016’s week one and two VR releases below:

  • VR The Diner Duo – HTC Vive (Nov. 3)
  • Jackal Assault – PSVR (Nov. 4)
  • Moto Racer 4 – PSVR Compatible (Nov. 4)
  • Eagle Flight – PSVR (Nov. 8)
  • Lethal VR – HTC Vive (Nov. 8)
  • Trackmania Turbo (VR support patch) – HTC Vive, PSVR, Oculus Rift – (Nov. 8)
  • Robinson: The Journey – PSVR (Nov. 8)
  • WarFire – Oculus Rift (Nov. 9)
  • Craft Keep VR – HTC Vive (Nov. 10)

NOVEMBER VR RELEASES – WEEKS THREE, FOUR & DATES TBA (NOV. 15-30)

Although the second half of November is a tad lighter in terms of VR releases, there are still several titles that are confirmed for 2016 but just have yet to get an official release date. Since December is right around the corner, this means that a few of those might actually be released in November, so make sure to keep an eye out for all the 2016 confirmed VR games listed below. In terms of games we know are coming, Neptune Flux looks like an interesting underwater sci-fi story available on all three major platforms, while interstellar adventure Space Rift will be coming to PSVR after its earlier release on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in August 2016.

Unfortunately, a couple games slated to release in late November were pushed back both into December and the new year. Insomniac Games planned on releasing The Unspoken in November 2016, but opted to move its release back to Dec. 6 to coincide with the Oculus Touch release date. As well, Star Trek: Bridge Crew was set to arrive on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift on Nov. 29 with PSVR support coming a week later, but has now been delayed to March 14, 2017. Here’s hoping all that’s available in November will keep us busy in the meantime.

  • Neptune Flux – PSVR, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive (Nov. 15)
  • Space Rift – PSVR (Nov. 15)

The following titles are also due to release sometime in 2016 but have yet to receive a confirmed release date at the time of writing.

  • Dead Bug Creek – HTC Vive, PSVR, Oculus Rift (Late 2016)
  • Filthy Lucre (VR support patch) – PSVR (2016)
  • Here They Lie – PSVR (Fall 2016)
  • Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin – PSVR (2016)
  • Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission – PSVR (“Holiday” 2016)
  • Superhot VR – Oculus Rift  (2016)
  • Viral: Quarantine – Oculus Rift (Q4 2016)
  • Wave Magic VR – HTC Vive, Oculus Rift (Late 2016)
