Far Cry is back in our lives with the latest installment, Far Cry 5, taking us to the cult-occupied land of Hope County, Montana. The game shifts its focus to America, but still contains all of the wild animal carnage and first-person action we’ve grown to love. The trophy and achievement offering this time around is your usual Far Cry fare, with 51 trophies on PlayStation 4 and 50 achievements for those of the Xbox persuasion. Here’s how you unlock them all:

There are four Story Quests to complete:

  • Free Larry
  • The Hero’s Journey
  • Close Encounters
  • Out of This World

At the end of the final mission, the achievement/trophy will pop.

Ain’t No Wallflower (Bronze, 20G) – This one requires you to speak to 50 citizens of Hope County. You should accumulate all 50 just by playing the game and talking to everyone you come across, making sure to finish each piece of dialogue before moving on. To speed things up, you can fast travel to a headquarters, speak to everyone, fast travel to another, and repeat. As long as you’re getting a different piece of dialogue each time, it’ll count.

Been There, Done That (Bronze, 15G) – Complete all of the hunting and fishing challenges. You can check the challenges by going into the menu, selecting challenges and then scroll down to the hunting section.

Liberator (Bronze, 10G) – Liberate five locations from the Project at Eden’s Gate. This can be done as soon as you complete the Prologue Story Quest.

Scavenger (Bronze, 10G) – In order to complete this Far Cry 5 trophy/achievement, you must finish three Prepper Stashes missions. These are indicated by a green diamond on the map, just go to them, read the notes and follow the objectives.

What Now? (Bronze, 20G) – This one’s easy, just complete three Side-Missions in Hope County.

The Greatest SOB That Ever Lived (Bronze, 15G) – For this one, you’ll need to complete a Clutch Nixon Stunt Mission in every region. There are eight in total, and require you to drive/fly through a series of checkpoints using different vehicles.

  • Bobble Head

  • Comic Book
  • Baseball Card
  • Vietnam Lighter
  • Vinyl Crate

A Wing And A Prayer (Bronze, 20G) – Automatically earned by completing the “Wingman” Story Quest in John’s region.

Troublemaker (Silver, 20G) – In Far Cry 5, there are four regions which contain cult property which the player can destroy. This trophy/achievement requires the player to destroy one piece of property in each region. The types of property are as follows:

ARCADE Hunter (Bronze, 15G) – Kill 100 enemies in Arcade Multiplayer maps.

ARCADE Enthusiast (Bronze, 20G) – Successfully complete 10 featured Arcade maps in Solo or Co-op.

ARCADE Competitor (Bronze, 10G) – Win 10 featured maps in Multiplayer.

The Hurk Locker (Bronze, 10G) – The first step here is to recruit Hurk Drubman. He can be located after being labeled on the map in Jacob’s region, upon completion of the “The Prodigal Son” Story Mission. Once you’ve recruited him, set him as an active buddy and go find some vehicles. By aiming your reticle over a vehicle and tapping the left directional button, Hurk will open fire and destroy it. Do this 15 times and you’re golden.

Hope County Master Angler (Silver, 30G) – You’ll need to collect all four of the fishing rods in Far Cry 5. Here’s how:

  • Basic fishing rod – Found at any Fishing Spot for free.
  • Natural Fishing Rod – Bought at any Shop for $800.
  • Wonderboy Fishing Rod – Complete Skylar’s Questline. She is located at Dylan’s Master Bait Shop in Jacob’s Region. You must complete all three of her missions to earn the rod.
  • Old Betsy Fishing Rod – Beat each region’s records at HARD Fishing Spots.

Locked and Loaded (Bronze, 10G) – Buy all attachments for one weapon. We recommend the bow, as it only takes two attachments to upgrade fully.

Ghost Kill (Bronze, 10G) – Perform a Headshot kill with any bow or rifle on any cultist more than 150m away. You can set a distance marker above an enemies head using the binoculars. From there it’s just a matter of finding or buying a sniper rifle and hitting your target.

Extra Crafty (Bronze, 20G) – Craft 25 recipes. Do this by repeatedly crafting the ‘The Ultimate Hunter’ recipe, as it only requires three herbs; Jimson Weed, Mustard, Prairie Fire.

Fashion First (Bronze, 15G) – Purchase $1000 in clothing.

Big Spender (Bronze, 10G) – Spend $50000 in Vehicle Shops.

Stocked Garage (Bronze, 20G) – Simply buy three vehicles from any Vehicle Shop.

Ace Killer (Bronze, 10G) – Destroy 10 planes while driving any aerial vehicle. For this trophy/achievement go to any hanger and grab a plane with a machine gun on the back. Spawn other planes in front of you and blast them away. Rinse and repeat.

Squash and Run (Bronze, 10G) – Run over and kill twenty enemies, they can’t be civilians. This is easy to obtain by driving into an outpost and running everyone down. You can repeat this process over and over as they call in reinforcements.

Fertilizing the Land (Bronze, 10G) – First, grab a tractor from the “Nolan’s Fly Shop” Outpost in Faith’s region. Then, go and run down five enemies. Civilians don’t count.

Death From Above (Bronze, 15GS) – This one requires you to take out four vehicles with a bomb dropped from a plane. Head to a hanger and pick up one of the planes with bombs (Carmina, the Clusterduck, The Wild Goose) and fly it to a garage. Then, position four vehicles around the plane. Get in the plane and drop a bomb, hey presto!

Opportunity Knocks (Bronze, 10G) – Distract 15 enemies using rocks or cans. You have an infinite supply of these, which can be thrown using the down directional button.

Road Gunner (Bronze, 15G) – While driving or leaning out of a vehicle, kill 25 enemies. Easily earned during the ‘Widowmaker’ Side Quest.

Fish Market (Bronze, 10G) – For this trophy/achievement, you’ll need to sell 20 fish for cash. You can sell them at any general store.

Where’s the Beef? (Bronze, 15G) – Here, you have to kill a bull with your bare hands. You’ll need the homeopathic “The Furious” from the utility wheel, which will allow you to kill the bull with a single punch.

Ignoble Beasts (Bronze, 10G) – To earn this trophy/achievement, you’re going to have to kill a bison with any melee weapon. Again, the easiest option here is to consume the homeopathic “The Furious” from the utility wheel. This boosts your melee damage and will kill the bison in one hit. If you don’t want to brew it, then you can attack the bison by staying behind it at all times. You can also set the difficulty down to easy to help you.

Hitting it Off (Bronze, 10G) – Play 3 quests with a friend.

Like A Bird (Silver, 10G) – Use a wingsuit to travel more than 5000m. First, you’ll need to unlock the wingsuit perk for four points, then head over to a cliff or a mountain, jump off and click R3. This trophy is made a whole lot easier by the Airdrop perk, which lets you fast travel into an elevated air drop position.

Close and Personal (Bronze, 20G) – Perform 25 close combat Takedown Kills. Walk up to an enemy and you’ll see an R3 prompt. This will trigger a takedown animation. Do 25 of these to gain the achievement/trophy.

Explosive Surprise (Silver, 20G) – Kill 5 enemies with sabotaged vehicles. You’ll need the Saboteur Perk for this one. Go to any fast travel point and wait for an enemy vehicle to turn up. Shoot the driver, leaving the passenger alive. Plant a bomb on the hood of the car then keep the enemy as close to the car as possible as it explodes. Do this 5 times and you’re done.

Survivalist (Silver, 20G) – Purchase half of all perks available. There are 50 in total so 25 is all that is needed.
