Hunt With the Bow
How to Get Money Fast in Far Cry 5
The bow is your best friend in Far Cry 5. Not only does it come in handy when you’re trying to be stealthy, it also allows you to conserve ammo. After firing at an enemy, you can walk over their bodies to retrieve your shot arrow quickly. This means that if you rely on the bow, you’ll save ammo, thus saving the amount of money you need to spend replenishing your ammo supply at the general store.
Not only that, the bow is also very useful for hunting animals in Far Cry 5. A couple of quick arrows will take out most smaller animals, and you’ll need a few more for the larger and more aggressive ones. You can always retrieve your arrows after killing your prey, and the animal skins can be sold off for a hefty sum. Just be careful not to burn the animals, as the burnt skin will drastically decrease the amount of money you get.
This method is even more efficient if you have the Harvest Master perk. This perk doubles the amount of loot you get from animals and enemies, which means you get to sell double the skins at stores, thus doubling your money made.
Go Fishing

Aside from hunting land animals, consider spending some time going fishing instead. You can purchase your first rod at any general store, and this will get you started nicely. As you travel across Hope County, look out for brochures and maps lying around as well, as these might mark popular fishing spots on your world map. Better fishing rods can also be purchased later on with the completion of certain side quests.
Once you have a rod, go to a fishing spot, and select the rod from your weapon wheel. Cast it into the water and wait for the fish to bite, then pull the rod in slowly once you have a catch. Fish can be sold for a nice sum of money at general stores as well, and this is a really good way of earning money if you’re looking to grind in Far Cry 5.
Do Side Missions

Aside from hunting animals and going fishing, just doing the side missions on offer in Far Cry 5 can also give you a huge boost to your earnings. Instead of powering through the story missions, look for NPCs with white and green icons above their heads and go talk to them. They’ll usually send you out on easy missions, or point you in the direction of Prepper Stashes which contain loot such as money and gear.
Whenever you reach a new community base in Far Cry 5, take your time to talk to the NPCs in the world, as they might open up new paths for you. And while you’re there, don’t forget to sell all the loot you’ve been carrying around with you at the general store.
Liberate Outposts

Lastly, liberating outposts is also a pretty good way of making money in Far Cry 5, especially if you do it right. You’ll get a fixed sum of money for liberating each outpost, but you can get even more if you do it without getting spotted by the enemies. This is best achieved with either a bow, or a suppressed sniper rifle. Seriously, landing silent headshots from a distance while watching your enemies go berserk and not knowing what’s going on is the best feeling ever.
If you’re capturing an outpost in a region that you’ve already liberated, you’ll also get a few extra hundred dollars as a bonus. So, if you see an outpost, always take the time to liberate it. You’ll gain access to new NPC side missions, which also leads to more money. Oh, and be sure to seek out the safe that’s hiding in some outposts. Opening it up will often reward you with a small pool of cash, and the possibility of Silver Bars, too.
