The inaugural season of the Overwatch League is well underway. From now until the week of June 17, we’ll be seeing matches every Wednesday to Saturday, with three matches taking place each day. The regular season is broken into four stages, and all wins and losses will determine each team’s seeding for the championship playoffs in the postseason, which starts on June 17. The team that emerges as the champion of the League will take home a trophy and $1 million in prize money.
We’re getting closer to the Stage 1 playoffs, and this week’s matches will determine every team’s position in the overall standings for the first part of the regular season. Los Angeles Valiant suffered a tough loss against the Uprising last week, but they have a chance to make up for it in their match-ups against the Shanghai Dragons and a wounded Seoul Dynasty.
The Houston Outlaws will also be vying for a playoffs spot, but they’ll have to work for it as the London Spitfire certainly isn’t going to make things easy for them, and Boston Uprising has proven it’s no pushover.
