All Microtransactions & Their Prices in Metal Gear Survive
The crystalline zombie-invested, co-op spin-off title Metal Gear Survive has finally launched on PS4, Xbox One, and PC today, bringing with it a ton of fun to be had either solo or with up to three friends online. Given the controversy lately, many may be wondering whether or not the title has any microtransactions included from the get-go.
Metal Gear Survive does, in fact, give players the option of purchasing in-game currency called “Survival Coins” with real-life money. They range in price from $0.99 to $50 and can be used to buy things like Boost Passes that give players perks for a limited amount of time. A full list of the microtransactions available in Metal Gear Solid can be found below including their prices:
- 100 Survival Coins – $0.99
- 550 Survival Coins – $4.99
- 1,150 Survival Coins – $9.99
- 3,500 Survival Coins – $29.99
- 60,020 Survival Coins – $49.99
There’s no way of telling yet how or if the Survival Coins will effect Metal Gear Survive’s core gameplay, though it should be noted that the in-game currency can be acquired through natural progression. This means that, in practice, things like the aforementioned Boost Passes will be able to be purchased virtually without spending a dime more for the game.
