Metal Gear Survive: How to Gesture and Emote

Using the Gesture and Emote Commands in Metal Gear Survive

Recommended Videos

Like many online games, you may want to express yourself quickly to get your point across. In Metal Gear Survive, this can be done through the use of emotes and gestures.

On PS4, touching on the left side of the touchpad will bring up the communications menu. For Xbox One users, double tapping the View button will bring up the menu. From there, you can cycle through the various groups with the shoulder buttons and double tap a direction on the d-pad in order to transmit the emote.

In the repository, you can also customize your emote settings and set them as you prefer. Note that not all gestures will be available to all players, as the “happy” and “thumbs up” gestures are currently accessible only as a preorder bonus. Some gestures are interactive, such as the “dap” gesture, and can be used in conjunction with other players.

Getting the hang of being able to emote quickly on the fly will speed up your communications, and before long you’ll be able to gesticulate with the best of them. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to take a look at the Twinfinite Metal Gear Survive Wiki.
