HOW MANY POWER MOONS THERE ARE IN SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY
Just as in previous 3D Mario games, Super Mario Odyssey features collectible items across each of its different levels. These are called Power Moons, which are equivalent to the Power Stars in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy. The function of these Moons in Super Mario Odyssey is to power Mario’s Odyssey ship that he uses to travel between different Kingdoms. Players are required to collect a minimum amount in order to progress through the game from one Kingdom to the next.
Each Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey has a different number of Moons to collect, from as high as 69 in the Sand Kingdom to as little as just 9 in the Cloud Kingdom. Other non-Kingdom areas also contain a small number of moons too. The total number of Power Moons in the entire game, including the post-game number is a whopping 836!
