How to Redeem Pre-Order DLC Items in Middle-earth: Shadow of War

Recommended Videos

Update: If you haven’t been able to redeem your items in Shadow of War the way explained below, you may want to try re-downloading the pre-order DLC onto your console. Failing this, get in touch with WB Support and let them know of the problem you’re having.

If you were so hyped for Shadow of War that you pre-ordered the game, you’ll find a code inside the box that’ll grant you a bunch of DLC items. There are two things you’ll gain access to by redeeming this pre-order DLC code. First, you’ll get your hands on the Epic Sword of Dominion, and second, you’ll get four legendary orc champions. Here’s what you need to do to redeem these pre-order DLC items in Shadow of War.

First off, simply enter the code into your PlayStation Store or Xbox Live Marketplace as you would any other code. Once you’ve done this, simply load up the game and either load your save or start a new game. Once you’ve got through the initial tutorial and have access to all of the menus, you’ll need to go to the Inventory option. Here, the very first item you can change will be your sword. Select this by pressing X on PS4 or A on Xbox One, and then you should see an orange colored level five icon. Select this and you’ll have equipped the Sword of Dominion pre-order DLC item for Shadow of War.

The next thing you’ll want to do is open up the Market from the main menu. At the top, you’ll see Garrison, and in the middle of the three options is Unopened Chests. Select this and at the very bottom under Promotions, you’ll see Legendary Champions War Chest. Open it up to get your four legendary orc champions. You won’t be able to use these until Act II, however, but this comes around soon enough.

That’s all you need to do to redeem and use your pre-order DLC items in Shadow of War. For more on the game, be sure to check out our wiki.
