Oculus Rift and Touch Controller Bundle on Sale at $399 for a Limited Time

Deal available for six weeks.

VR, Oculus Rift

Oculus has lowered the price of its Rift virtual reality headset and Touch controller bundle to $399, a $200 discount from the price of $598 before. The Oculus Rift bundle had received a price cut earlier this year from its original price at $799.

This second discount is only available for six weeks though, as part of an event that Oculus calls the “Summer of Rift.” The event had originally offered up to 60% off over 30 games in the Oculus Store through late June to early July.

The bundle includes the Oculus Rift VR headset, two touch controllers (separately sold for $99), two sensors, a remote, an Xbox One wireless controller, and a guitar controller connector for Rock Band VR. The package also comes with seven games: Dead & Buried, Dragon Front, Lucky’s Tale, Medium, Quill, Robo Recall, and Toybox.

The deal makes the Oculus Rift the same price as the PlayStation VR, though Sony’s headset only works with the PlayStation 4. The Oculus Rift also requires a PC with a high-end graphics card that can support VR, alongside other specifications listed on the Oculus website.
