Last week, BioWare announced that they would reveal their road map for the future of Mass Effect: Andromeda. Today, they’ve made good on their promise, with general manager Aaryn Flynn announcing a series of patches and updates that’ll improve on the game. The first patch will arrive this week and will let players skip ahead when traveling planets in the Tempest, increase the inventory size, and fix latency and matchmaking in multiplayer, among other things. The full patch notes for that can be found here.
In the future, other updates will include more options and variety to the character creator (along with hair and general improvements overall), improvements to male romance options for Scott Ryder, cutscene improvements, and fix performance and stability issues. The studio also said that they’ll continue to build on the APEX missions, adding new characters, maps, and weapons. Finally, Mass Effect: Andromeda will also receive the first of three chapters this Thursday centered around something known only as “The Remnant Investigation.”
