Marvel Heroes is finally playable on console. Well, PlayStation 4, at least. And only if you’re willing to purchase a founder’s pack. The free-to-play title has kicked off its PlayStation 4 closed beta today. Though it’s possible beta keys could be given out in the future, the only current way to get in is with the purchase of any of the founder’s packs:

  • Captain American, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Thor.
  • Default + Bonus Costumes
  • 10 Combo Boosts
  • $20 worth of G’s

X-Men’s Founder’s Pack – $59.99

  • Wolverine, Jean Grey, Storm, Beast, Iceman, and Psylocke.
  • Default + Bonus Costumes
  • 10 Combo Boosts
  • $20 worth of G’s

Guardian’s Founder’s Pack – $39.99

  • Star-Lord
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Default + Bonus Costumes
  • 5 Combo Boosts
  • $10 worth of G’s

Spider-Man Founder’s Pack – $19.99

  • Spider-Man
  • Default + Civil War Costume
  • 1 XP Boost

Deadpool Founder’s Pack – $19.99

Though all progress will be reset once the game hits open beta, any G’s (paid currency) will transfer over. If you’re rolling in money, the purchase of all available founder’s packs will get you an enhanced Symbiote Spider-Man suit and Iron Fist. PlayStation Plus subscribers will also have the chance to purchase a War Machine founder’s pack (Like most f2p PS4 games, a Plus subscription is not required to play).

Once the game is in Open Beta, all PSN users will also be able to grab Daredevil for free from the PlayStation Store.
