ZELDA BREATH OF THE WILD – HOW TO GET WARM DOUBLET
Close to the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you need to reach shrines that are in a cold area of Hyrule. You will need items that increase your resistance to cold or clothing that does the same job. One of the main pieces of clothing is the Warm Doublet, which can be found in two ways.
Firstly, it can be found at the top of Mount Hylia. All you have to do is make your way to the peak and the Old Man will congratulate for doing so without having the right clothes. He’ll then give you the Warm Doublet to help you keep warm. You will need torches or warming food to help you reach the peak.
Alternatively, you can get the Warm Doublet from the Old Man before entering the colder area. The Old Man’s hut is in a field near the Temple of Time – it is easy to find. Inside will be some ingredients on a table, and a book. The book will give you part of the recipe for Spicy Meat and Seafood Fry. It will tell you that it requires Raw Meat and Spicy Peppers (on the table by the book), but the Old Man cannot remember the other. The other ingredient is Raw Bass, which can be found in a pond to the West of the Temple of Time. Take those items back to the Old Man’s hut and sit by the campfire when he is there (night-time). You need to hold the three items, which can be done by pressing X in the inventory and selecting them. Then select ‘cook’ by the fire and the dish will be made. Then, speak to the Old Man and tell him you have made a dish. He will be ecstatic that you have found the missing ingredient for his dish and he will award you with the Warm Doublet as a thank you. You can then equip the item to make travelling through the mountainous areas far easier.
That is how to get the Warm Doublet in the game. For more on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, be sure to check out our wiki.
