Zelda Breath of the Wild: Is There an Unbreakable Zora Trident?

Let's put the rumors to rest.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Unbreakable Zora Trident

Recommended Videos

Breath of the Wild is finally available on the Switch and Wii U, and while the game is fantastic in its own right, the weapon degradation system seems to be the number one gripe for many players. With that in mind, it’s not difficult to see why players would want to know if there are any rare weapons in the game that cannot be broken. Rumors have since started swirling around about a possible Zora Trident that’s allegedly unbreakable.

According to some sites, an unbreakable Zora Trident can be obtained by getting the Lightscale Trident and the Ceremonial Trident, and then handing them over to the Zora blacksmith. The blacksmith will then fuse the two weapons together to create a more powerful Zora Trident for the player, and this weapon will never break.

Unfortunately, we’re sorry to report that this is false. We’ve obtained both Tridents in the game, taken them to the blacksmith, and he does not offer the option to fuse the weapons together. He will only craft new Lightscale or Ceremonial Tridents for you if you break them, and that’s about it.
