How to Crouch in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

Crouching is a pretty important move you’ll need to get used to in Mass Effect Andromeda. Whenever you’re engaged in a firefight with the aliens, you’ll definitely want to crouch and take cover to reduce the amount of damage Ryder takes in combat. However, crouching in Andromeda works in a rather specific way.

First off, you have to have your weapon drawn. You can do this by holding down the left trigger to aim your gun. Once you have it drawn, simply move to any waist-high object or wall to take cover behind it. If you’re behind a waist-high object, Ryder will crouch, and you’ll be able to shoot from behind cover. This seems to be the only way to crouch in the game, so it’s important that you look for objects to hide behind whenever you’re under too much fire. Hiding behind objects also allows you to regenerate your shields at a slightly faster rate, so keep that in mind when you’re in a firefight.

Now that you know how to crouch, free to sound off in the comments if you have any other questions about the game.
