Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was released in late January and has received acclaim from both gamers and critics alike for its intensely creepy atmosphere and adrenaline inducing gameplay. The game went straight to the top of the UK game charts upon its release and has managed to stay there for a second week in a row.
Grand Theft Auto V is in second, pretty impressive for a game originally released in 2013, FIFA 17 is in third, Hitman is in fourth, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is bringing up the rear in fifth. The top 20 are as follows:
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
- Grand Theft Auto V
- FIFA 17
- Hitman
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
- Rocket League
- Battlefield 1
- Final Fantasy XV
- WWE 2K17
- Mafia III
- Overwatch
- Watch Dogs 2
- Minecraft: Xbox Edition
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition
- Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens
- Pokemon Sun
- Steep
- Titanfall 2
- Pokemon Moon
- Poochy and Yoshi’s Wooly Word
It looks like gamers are currently hooked on getting frightened with Resident Evil 7, but will it be able to stay at the top for a third week running? This week will see the release of the hotly anticipated Nioh, which has been receiving strong reviews so far. Will that be enough to knock Resident Evil from the top spot?
