Fire Emblem Heroes: How to Unlock Potential and What it Does

Unlock Potential – Fire Emblem Heroes

Recommended Videos

In order to make your team the strongest it can possibly be in Fire Emblem Heroes, you’ll need to use the unlock potential mechanic. This option is tucked away in the Advanced Growth menu of your Allies tab, but it’s something you’ll definitely want to make use of.

The unlock potential option basically allows you to increase a hero’s star rating. By raising an ally’s star rating, they will receive raised stats and have access to stronger skills.

In order to do this, you’ll first need a level 20 hero. Once you’ve got this, you’ll need to use a combination of Hero Feathers and badges to unlock potential. For heroes ranked between one and three stars, you’ll need Hero Feathers and badges.

The badges needed to go from three stars to four stars are as follows:

  • Azure Badge – Blue
  • Scarlet Badge – Red
  • Verant Badge – Green
  • Transparent Badge – Colorless.

However, if you want to go from four stars to five, you’ll need Hero Feathers and Great Badges. These badges can only be obtained from the sixth stratum or higher in the Training Tower in Fire Emblem Heroes.

Once you’ve got everything you need, simply select the character and confirm you want to use the unlock potential option. And that’s all there is to it.
