For those who may have gotten a little tired of Pokemon GO in the past couple of months, this piece of news might bring you back to the app. Niantic has just announced that the second generation of Pokemon from the Johto region will be hitting the app some time this week, and they’ve uploaded a new trailer to show off a few of the critters. You can check out the trailer down below.
This means that we’ll soon be able to catch Pokemon like Cyndaquil and Chikorita out in the wild. Should be interesting to see if they help to shake up the Gym meta as well. Here are a few other details provided by Niantic:
Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and many more Pokémon are nearly here! Starting later this week, you’ll have the opportunity to catch more than 80 Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games. We’ve also implemented some new features to enhance your Pokémon GO experience.
– Additional Pokémon
– New Evolutions
– New Encounter Gameplay
– New Berries
– New Avatars and an Expanded Wardrobe
Pokemon GO is now available on mobile devices.
