Batman: The Telltale Series

Recommended Videos

You can always trust Telltale to offer up easy trophy lists, and their Batman series is no exception. Reverting back to the trend set by The Walking Dead series, each episode is made up of six trophies – all of which are unlocked by passing parts of the story. There are 31 trophies spread across the five episodes, made up of 15 bronze, ten silver, five gold, and a platinum, distributed evenly amongst the episodes. Completing the game will net you a platinum trophy, it is as simple as that.

There has been some other Telltale games released this year with similarly easy trophy lists. The Walking Dead: Michonne doesn’t have a platinum but the 21 bronze trophies on offer are sure to boost your count. The final episode of Minecraft: Story Mode also released, adding to the already extensive trophy list. Finally, Season 3 of The Walking Dead is due out before the end of the year and although we don’t know what it includes as of yet, it is likely to be easy and similar to the prior seasons. 2016 has made it clear that Telltale games are vital for boosting your trophy level.

Titanfall 2

Usually, multiplayer shooters tend to have very challenging trophy lists that are full of multiplayer-centric challenges that dare you to unlock everything or difficulty-based trophies. For some players, that is nothing short of an arduous task that isn’t worth the payoff. However, Titanfall 2 has the benefit of having a campaign that houses a large chunk of its trophies, most of which are very easy.

You can obtain most of the rewards in Titanfall 2 in a single playthrough without even really trying. On normal mode, I reached 70% completion in one 10-hour playthrough without much exploration. The two more challenging trophies are “…become the master” that requires you to beat the third best score in the gauntlet practice mission and the other is a gold that is awarded for completing the campaign on master difficulty. While obtaining the platinum will require a bit more dedication, players of any skill level can at least boost their trophy count by quite a bit and maybe even see their level go up a notch.

Job Simulator

Job Simulator cannot be played by everyone due to it being playable with PlayStation VR only. That said, any trophy hunters with a PSVR unit should definitely take advantage of Job Simulator’s easy trophy list. The game only has twelve trophies but other than the platinum, all of them are golds. The gold trophies are awarded for completing each area of the game, focusing on the different jobs or for doing miscellaneous things in the game world such as throwing something at a robot. All of them are simple and since the game is so much fun, no one should miss out on all those gold trophies if they are able to play Job Simulator.

Firewatch

Firewatch has one of the smallest but easiest trophy lists of any game on PSN. The list features just five trophies, made up of one bronze, one silver, and 3 golds and to get all of them, all you need to do is finish the game that takes roughly three hours. The description of each trophy says: “complete day ?” which act as a chapter in the story. The rarest trophy in the game is at 62.8% achievement rate on PlayStation 4, which shows how simple this trophy list is.

Recently, Campo Santo added some extra bronze trophies that require you to find items or do specific things in the game world that flesh out the experience slightly. It is best to return to the game after you have completed it for the first time to unlock the added trophies to maintain the 100% completion statistic.

My Name is Mayo

My Name is Mayo might be the most simple game released this year. It is available for just $0.99 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita and the gameplay involves nothing more than tapping away at a jar of mayonnaise with the touch pad or Vita touch screen.

The trophy list features 51 trophies, which include 46 bronze, 4 gold, and a platinum. To unlock all the trophies, you have to do nothing more than tap away at the jar and wait. Every minute or so the trophy tone will play and you will rake in the trophies. It takes no more than a hour to get the platinum and the lists are seperate on the PlayStation 4 and Vita, meaning that you can get two platinums in less than two hours. We think My Name is Mayo may have the easiest trophy list of all time and, at such a low price, it is a must play for any trophy hunter.

Severed

Severed is the most recent game from Drinkbox, the studio that developed the excellent Guacamelee. It is a first-person dungeon crawler that takes advantage of the Vita’s touchscreen with its combat. As you explore the world, you will come across various enemies that you will have to defeat using tactics and quick reactions in order to progress. Similarly to Guacamelee, Severed’s trophy list is quite simple, with a lot of easy gold trophies.

The list features 25 trophies (six bronze, 12 silver, six gold, and one platinum) and most of them unlock in one playthrough, which should take six to seven hours. Five of the six golds are awarded for killing enemies so they should unlock quickly and the silvers are for finding story items, killing enemies, and upgrading your character. The tricky ones are ‘explore every area to 100% completion’ (silver) and ‘find every secret’ (silver) but since the game isn’t very long, the post-game clear up should go quick.

Final Fantasy XV

You wouldn’t think that a Final Fantasy could possibly offer easy PlayStation 4 trophies, let alone an attainable platinum. The series is known for having sprawling settings, deep stories, and hundreds of hours worth of side-quests to complete. But, it turns out that even though the game can be time consuming, grabbing the trophies on offer isn’t actually very difficult. Only one is tied to difficulty, and that is for normal difficulty, but once that’s completed you can just set the game to easy and carry on.

The most time-consuming challenges will be to level up each of your party members’ specific skills. They aren’t difficult in any way, they just require you to invest some time. Fishing with Noctis can be a bit out of the way but Prompto’s photography and Gladiolus’ survival stats are completed as you play through the story. The Tortoise Toppler may seem like the hardest trophy on offer, but if you set yourself up well, it’s actually pretty straightforward.

Expect a lengthy run to get everything done, but before you know it your count of shiny rewards will increase by quite a bit.

Far Cry Primal

Far Cry games usually have enjoyable and varied trophy lists and Primal is no exception. The new list is similar to those in Far Cry 3 and 4 as it features story-based trophies, weapon-use trophies, and some interesting challenge-based ones. The list is made up of 51 trophies (38 bronze, 10 silver, two gold, and one platinum).

There are 11 story-based trophies, including one gold, that unlock as you complete certain missions. The remaining trophies are earned for a variety of things including taming beasts, having a certain number of kills with specific weapons, capturing outposts – all the standard Far Cry stuff. The ‘kill an enemy with a bow from 70 feet’ trophy also makes a return appearance. Approach the list in the same way as any other Far Cry game and you should have no problem unlocking the platinum. As always most of the trophies will unlock during your first playthrough and you will be compelled to get the rest before you finish.

Hitman GO & Lara Croft GO

Every once in a while, a game comes along that is fun, cheap, and has an extremely generous trophy list. Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO are just those kinds of games. There are just 17 trophies to be unlocked in Hitman GO but the list features four bronze, three silvers, nine golds, and one platinum. Lara Croft GO features 18 trophies and the list is made up of three bronze, five silver, nine gold, and a platinum.

Over half of each game’s trophies are gold and all of them can be unlocked in one playthrough. If you are struggling at any point during the game’s hundreds of puzzles you can refer to the hints that guide you through the level – there is one gold trophy that requires you to complete the game without using hints. If you learn the basic rules of the game it can be quite easy to navigate most of the levels. And since Hitman GO is a port of a mobile game, there are plenty of guides available to help you. You can pick both up for less than $20 and each has an attainable platinum.

Virginia

Virginia is an excellent story-based game but it requires two playthroughs to unlock all of the trophies due to some of them being missable the first time. The list is made up of 18 trophies including two bronze, six silver, nine gold, and a platinum. The trophies are awarded for completing chapter and for picking up collectibles along the way. The best way to play Virginia is to play it at your leisure first to experience the story and then return to the game to get the rest of the trophies. The game is neither long nor difficult so getting the platinum is not a challenge.
