Pokemon Sun and Moon: How to Save Your Game

The essential part of any video game.

Pokemon Sun and Moon – Saving the Game

Recommended Videos

Saving your game is incredibly important in Pokemon Sun and Moon as you’ll want to be able to record your progress and stop playing the game whenever you want. To save your game, just press the X button to bring up the in-game menu. This will give you access to in-game options, your Pokemon, Pokedex, and other settings. Highlight the ‘Save’ option, and select that. The game will then prompt you to save your game. Be sure not to close your device or power it off when it’s saving.

Unfortunately, you cannot have multiple save files in the game. This means that you can only have one active character at any point in time. If you wish to start completely from scratch, you’ll have to delete your save data from the game cartridge, and then start a new game when you boot it up again. Whenever you save your game, you’ll overwrite the single file that you have, so you can’t have multiple save files for your one character either.

And that’s all you need to know about saving your game. Be sure to check back with Twinfinite for more tips, tricks, and information on Pokemon Sun and Moon.
