Today saw the release of Destiny’s latest expansion, Rise of Iron, on both PS4 and Xbox One. While you should be able to just pick up the expansion through your system’s online store, it turns out that players on Xbox One are having to go about this a completely different way.
For one reason or another, checking the Xbox Store shows that Rise of Iron can only be bought as part of a bundle. That bundle just so happens to be Destiny: The Collection, meaning you’d be paying way over the odds for Rise of Iron.
Rather than doing this, all you have to do is simply load up your game and look for the yellow Rise of Iron logo on your map. Click on this, and you’ll be shown a quick trailer of the expansion. At the end, it’ll give you the option to purchase Rise of Iron for the correct price of the expansion alone. Simply confirm that you want to buy the expansion and that’s all there is to it.
