Destiny: Rise of Iron – How to Beat the Remnant Iron Lords

The final battle.

At the end of the initial Rise of Iron questline, you will have to fight across Earth and enter the room where Lord Saladin hoped it all ended. Deep beneath the Cosmodrome is the room where SIVA replicates itself, spreading its corruption to anyone who comes close enough. When you reach the final room during the Iron Tomb quest, you will come across a computer and what appears to bodies hanging overhead, suspended by strands of the SIVA virus. This is where you’ll have to face the Remnant Iron Lords.

You will have to fight three in total, but don’t worry, they aren’t too tough. Right when the fight begins, the flaming axe from the trailers will appear. Grab it and get ready to rumble.

The axe’s ammo actually depletes over time, but you can refill it by using the R1/RB attack. The first thing that you’re going to want to do is clear out all of the additional enemies. There will be some Fallen Vandals and Dregs, and a Captain or two. They will be very annoying, so clear them out quickly while ignoring the first boss, Remnant of Felwinter. Once they’re all clear, just focus on him by doing a combo of three basic hits with R1/RB then a powerful hit with R2/RT.

Once the first boss is taken care of, another round of adds will show up. Quickly take care of these before moving your focus to the much larger job at hand so you can focus solely on the other two Remnants without any distractions.

As you may have guessed from that last sentence, the other two bosses, Jolder and Galeon, come out at once. Just as you did with the first one, you’ll have to watch your axe’s ammo to ensure you’re able to deal damage at the opportune times.

Continue to use the same combo of three basic hits and a powerful hit on these two, moving around as much as possible to avoid sustaining any heavy damage. With the adds already taken care of, all you have to do is keep an eye on them both so one doesn’t flank you as you attack the other. Rinse and repeat this combo and you’ll soon emerge victorious from your battle with the Remnant Iron Lords.
