The Middle-Earth Limited Collector’s Edition will come with a ton of extras which you can read all about below, and while no price tag has yet been confirmed, IGN states it was briefly listed for a mind-boggling $800.
The retail page claims the set contains a total of 30 discs which hold the extended cuts of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King from the original early-2000’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as those of the more recent The Hobbit prequel trilogy, which includes An Unexpected Journey, The Desolation of Smaug and The Battle of the Five Armies.
Also included are all of the series’ behind-the-scenes documentaries previously included in earlier releases of the movies in question, as well as “exclusive premiums”. All of the films will come in their unique faux-leather casing reminiscent of a book.
The prime piece of this collection is the Red Book of Westmarch, which was owned by both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins, containing various pieces of concept art and additional lore.
