Details on the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass were revealed on Wednesday morning including how many expansion and battle packs are going to be included in the DLC as well as how much it’s going to cost players to buy it. While the expansion packs and battlepacks will be available to be purchased separately as they’re released, Electronic Arts has bundled them up presumably to offer gamers a chance to save a little money by purchasing them all at once.
The contents of the Battlefield Premium Pass was revealed on the Battlefield Bulletin official Twitter account, and the first noteworthy detail is the price. The purchase price was revealed to be €49,95 which means it will be right around $60 in the U.S. In other words, the Premium Pass alone will cost about the same as if you were buying a whole other game.
So what comes packed into the Premium Pass? There will be a two-week headstart on the four expansion packs which will have a combined 16 new maps, and at least 20 new weapons. There will also be new game modes, elite classes and other unannounced perks. The first expansion for Battlefield 1, titled They Shall Not Pass is due to launch in March of 2017.
The Premium Pass also includes 14 battlepacks which EA has said will be delivered monthly. These battlepacks are going to contain things like special skins players can put on their weapons to stand out when it comes to the multiplayer maps. There have also been some special dog tags announced that will only be made available to those who purchase the premium pass.
Battlefield 1 is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on Oct. 21, 2016.
