At Level-5’s Vision livestream, the company announced the new puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS and mobile devices. The game’s been slated for a 2017 release, though no other details were revealed beyond that. You can check out the first trailer for the game below.

The trailer shows off our new protagonist wandering around London, with her sidekick, who’s basically just a talking dog. We also get a brief introduction to a few other new series characters, as well as a quick look at some of the puzzles that players will get to tackle in the game.

Lady Layton still retains that charming sense of wonder that made the previous Professor Layton games so special, and the soundtrack is superb as always. We’ll keep you updated as more information comes our way. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
