Several sites have started posting the news that The Division will have an open beta this month thanks to information published by Xbox Italy’s official Facebook page.
According to the Facebook page, an open beta for The Division will begin on February 16 and will end on February 21. The Division beta which just finished was a closed beta and could only be accessed by entering a code only obtainable through pre-ordering the game. An open beta would mean anyone can join in the fun and also allow Ubisoft to really put their servers to the test.
Plans for an open beta have not yet been confirmed by Ubisoft, but given the success of the closed beta, it wouldn’t be unlikely. Plus, the official Xbox page of Italy probably knows its stuff.
There’s still plenty of time for The Division to have another beta before it’s released, but only time will tell if this report is accurate.
The Division is due to be released on March 8 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
