News of the price and date was leaked earlier today in a post on GamesBeat ahead of the planned announcement scheduled for Monday, the opening day of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The HTC Vive is part of the first wave of consumer virtual-reality hardware and will feature 360-degree tracking, two motion controllers, and room scale movement tracking. Also built into the consumer launch product is phone functionality via bluetooth which will allow the user to “receive and respond to both incoming and missed calls, get text messages and send quick replies and check upcoming calendar invites directly through the headset.”

For a limited time, The Vive’s consumer headset will include two games: Job Simulator by Owlchamey Labs and Fantastic Contraption by Northway Games.

Pre-orders will be available starting on Monday Feb. 29, with the consumer product expected to ship in April 2016. Check out the video below to see the official reveal of the final Vive design.
