One such industry they cover every year is the wide world of video games. For context, previous year’s honorees include Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg, Halo 5 Design Director Kevin Franklin, and indie designer Davey Wreden.

This years list covers the broad spectrum of gaming – from designers and developers, to YouTube and eSports personalities, and even a writer (woo!). We’ve highlighted a couple of the entries below, with a link to the full list at the bottom.

Jordan Maron, a.k.a. CaptainSparklez, YouTube personality and founder of game studio XREAL is featured most prominently on the site. Notable accomplishments: Over 2 billion views, a new studio with 2 million plus downloads of it’s first game, and an action figure.

Thomas Silloway, Director of Development for Psyonix, a.k.a. the evil genius behind Rocket League.

Ashley Ruhl, Cinematic Designer for Telltale Games, a.k.a. the one who plays with your emotions by bringing cel-shaded characters to life.

These are just a few of the people honored by the magazine, for the full list, click right here.

What did you think of the list? What industry mind do you consider a game-changer? Let us know in the comments below!
