Nintendo’s final Super Smash Bros. Direct kicked off with a surprise announcement. Some person from the unreleased in North America Fire Emblem Fates, will be a brand new DLC challenger in the game. Most North American audiences probably have no idea who Corrin is, and he’ll also be the 6th Fire Emblem character in Super Smash Bros.
The character Corrin is the main character of Fire Emblem Fates, and like Robin can be played as either a male or female. Corrin has the ability to transform fully into a dragon, or use certain parts of his body to transform into different weapons as well.
Corrin is being set for a February 2016 release date, and will cost $4.99 on either 3DS or Wii U. He can also be purchased for both systems for $5.99. In addition, anyone who buys Corrin will receive two additional music tracks from Fire Emblem Fates that can be played on the Colosseum level in Smash Bros.
What do you think of Corrin’s addition to the Smash Bros. roster? Do you think this is a fun tie-in with Fire Emblem Fates releasing, or would you rather see another character? Let us know down in the comments. Take a look at a few shots of Corrin and some artwork below.
