The definitive edition was originally announced back in August during Xbox’s Live Stream from the show floor at Gamescom 2015. “We [are] actually adding a lot of new content, such as new areas, which are going to be using new mechanics and actually quite new, exciting artwork, and will have potentially new abilities,” said Moon Studio co-founder Gennadiy Korol.

No further information concerning the re-release has been announced, but the tweet indicates that more news will be revealed soon.

Ori and the Blind Forest has taken home several awards so far this year including Xbox Game of the Year from the Golden Joystick Awards and Best Art Direction from The Game Awards. To read our thoughts on the title, check out our review here.
